Fiberglass Hooded Roof Fan Features
Features
  • Sizes: Model HD/HC: 12" through 60" direct drive.  Model HB:  12" through 72" belt drive.
  • Model Designations: HDE, HCE, HBE - exhaust.  HDS, HCS, HBS - supply.  HDR, HCR, HBR - reversible.
  • Construction: Fiberglass, Hetron 99P ® polyester resin, Class 1 flame spread of 25 or less with UV inhibitor.  Standard color is gray.
  • Stack:  Figerglass construction.  Synthetic veil provides smooth interior for efficient air flow and creates a resin-rich, impenetrable surface to most airstream corrosives.
  • Venturi:  Fan wheel operates in a fiberglass venturi orifice molded into the stack, increasing air flow efficiency.
  • Fan Propeller: Highly efficient, air foil and helical shaped fiberglass reinforced blades attached to a fiberglass hub. Bushing protected by a removable cap for easy maintenance.
  • Curb Cap: Fiberglass construction, integrally formed to fan housing.  Size can be adapted to fit existing curbs.
  • Hood:  Fiberglass construction, properly sized as to minimize restriction to air flow and prevent water entrainment on supply applications.  All structural support members are solid fiberglass.
  • Drive Tube:  Fiberglass construction including bearing mounts.  Sealed with a neoprene shaft seal.
  • Bearings:  Heavy duty, cast iron, pillow block-type with regreasable fittings.
  • Shaft: 304 stainless steel.
  • Motor: NEMA Design B, heavy duty, industrial continuous duty, totally enclosed with sealed ball bearings. Severe duty motors are standard on direct drive units with the motor in the airstream.
  • Motor Mount: Fiberglass construction, adjustable for belt tensioning.
  • Lube Lines: Polyethylene, extended from bearings to the exterior of the unit.
  • Motor Cover: Fiberglass construction.

Optional Accessories
  • Isolated Design: Model HC: Motor is directly connected to the fan wheel but is completely sealed from the airstream in a ventilated housing. Reduces maintenance by eliminating belts and bearings.
  • Reversible:  The fan wheel can be assembled to provide reversible air flow for all-season ventilation.
  • Special Resins: A variety of special resins are available to suit a specific corrosion application.  Carbon impregnation is also available for explosive applications.
  • Filtered Hoods:  A variety of filter styles can be mounted in the hood to filter exhaust or supply air.
  • Dampers: Heavy duty fiberglass construction, mounted in a slide-out tray in the fan stack for easy maintenance.  If motor operation is required, the 115v motor is mounted out of the airstream in a fiberglass enclosure.
  • Screen:  Both safety screen and birdscreen area available to prevent the entrainment of foreign objects into the fan or building.  Standard screens are polyethylene.  Stainless steel is also available.
  • Hardware:  316 stainless steel or monel.
  • Disconnect Switch: Non-fused, mounted to the exterior of the unit in a NEMA 3R enclosure. Can be factory pre-wired to motor.
  • Access Doors: Bolt on with neoprene seals.
  • Roof Curbs: Available.
